Property Description 398 Grove St, Montclair Twp., NJ 07043

Set back on a big lot and moments from Brookdale Park and NYC transit, this mid-century marvel delivers the kind of intentional design you've been waiting for. A chic, magical, light-filled newer kitchen anchored by a HUGE center island that becomes the gravitational center of your days - morning coffee, homework sessions, wine with friends, Sunday pancakes. It's not just a kitchen - it's where life happens. Nearly every window throughout this gem frames lush foliage, creating a constant connection to nature and a sense of privacy that feels rare this close to everything. The generous living room is filled with light and scale, with leafy views that shift beautifully through the seasons. Upstairs - hall bath and three beautifully proportioned bedrooms including the primary ensuite with full bath. The split-level layout offers flexibility that truly works: a fantastic lower-level family room with separate entrance (could be a 4th bedroom) In the basement an enormous rec space ready for movie nights, workouts, game tables, creative projects, or simply the luxury of extra space. Off the kitchen and dining area, an Architectural Digest-caliber tiered deck overlooks a magical, perennial-packed backyard with patio and lawn space to dine, play, garden, and unwind beside a canopy of green. Peaceful and quiet while keeping you close to parks, cafes, and the NYC train. Attached 2 car garage. Smart flow. Space to breathe. This one doesn't just check boxes-it's unforgettable.
